Naples Redfish Report with Chasin Tales Fishing Charters November 4th 2015
Although the red fish bite has been going off for some time up in Estero Bay and
down in the 10,000 Islands, the Naples area seems to be about a month behind. This
is good news for those wanting to chase after these spot tailed devils this month, as
they have just started to make a strong showing, in Naples, over the last week or so.
I expect that this is because of the unseasonably warm water temps we’ve been
having around here.
Although I haven’t had any charters where we’ve exclusively targeting redfish, I
have had many in which we have been catching a few as by-catch while chasing after
snook, which seem to be everywhere right now. This trend should continue until our
first good “cold front” pushes the reds a bit further back into the estuary.
As long as temperatures remain unseasonably warm, I expect that the reds will continue to follow the tides
in and out from the beaches and passes into the “first” inside bays.
